Oven-Baked Chicken with Sauce and Vegetables
Ingredients
- 8 chicken cutlets (I used skinless and boneless)
- 5 -6 medium potatoes (lightly seasoned)
- 2 onions
- 4 -5 garlic cloves
- 4 -5 tomatoes
For the sauce
- Half a tea cup of milk (60ml)
- Half a tea cup of olive oil (60ml)
- 1 teaspoon of paprika paste
- 1 teaspoon of tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon each of ground pepper, paprika, thyme, salt
- 1 teaspoon of black pepper
- 7 g honey
Instructions
-
Mix the vegetables lightly with thyme, paprika, salt, black pepper, and olive oil.
-
Peel the onions and potatoes and slice them into rings. Chop the garlic and scatter over the vegetables. Place on a baking tray. Add the spices and olive oil, then mix well. Arrange the chicken cutlets on top. Mix all the ingredients for the sauce. Pour over the chicken and spread evenly. I didn’t remove the skin as it adds a lot of flavour—feel free to remove it if you prefer. Mix everything together and let it rest for at least 30 minutes if possible. Wet the greased baking paper, squeeze out the excess water, and place it over the chicken.
-
Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for 1 hour. Remove the baking paper and continue baking for another 10 minutes with the top exposed to crisp the surface. Remove from the oven. Bon appétit in advance 🥰
